Was wondering about her bedroom as in winter she has underfloor heating (heat mat) throu-out the night. Should I turn this off completely from day 1 ?
She is in the garage so the heat will drop dramaticaly on & through the night.
Sorry to keep asking questions I just really need to know everything i do is ok.
thanks Sue

I would turn the heat matt of for the 3rd week of wind down, as they need to gradually get cooler over the weeks, but i wouldnt Met the Garage drop below 20c over night for the First 3 weeks of Wind down ans reduce the overnight and Day temp to 10c on tbe Last couple of days, lots of thermometers inside and outside so can take action if the temps go too Löw or too High, its very nerve racking, mine ha e been hibernating for 2 weeks now and i hear scratching now and again, checked on them this morning no wees or poos, prob take another week before i relax , lillys löst another 1 gm this week, and the adults 2 gms, so all ok at the moment x

could I possibly PM you as I go through the process please. I have started yesterday by
reducing her basking & flood light by half an hour at each end and also her heat mat has been reduced by the same. The uv strip light blew last week anyway so I have not replaced it yet will that be a problem?
We are moving house in mid January do you think the disturbance would wake her?
thanks so much
sue

Hi sue, Yes of course you can, i am Not experienced though as this is my First Time, but we can go through it together, my adults Starter winding themselves down as they stopped eating and stayed dug down night and Day form mid to Late September, if your big girl is used to hibernating them she will want to Wind down too, i Starter lillys Wind down by stopping her food and she still wanted food so that was very hard (she is 4 years Old) is your girl refusing food? X
