Default High wattage desk lamps?

Hi, I've seen a lot of you use desk lamp type things as basking lights and one would be ideal in the table I'm making, but the only ones I have found in shops are really low wattage? I think the most I found could take 40w which probably isn't going to give a hot enough basking spot?

Is there anywhere not on the internet I can buy one?

I never found a high wattage one but worth remembering you need a ceramic holder as even low watt bulbs get hot if on for hours on end

you could keep an eye out for a anglepoise lamp and uprate the wiring, because these are free standing you can position them anywhere, I picked up a couple at the local carboot sale.

Gosh I wouldn't know where to start with wiring stuff. I'll just get one of the clamp on ones from the pet shop. I can easily nail an extra bit to the table for it

Thanks for the replies guys

Not too sure what you are looking for, but could take a look online at one of the stores e.g. Swell - they do all sorts of lights / lamps

I picked one up from the reptile shop today it takes up to 100w but I'm getting good temps with a 60w bulb. Got everything set up for torty arriving tomorrow
