Default growing my first weeds...

growing my first weeds... in homemade propagators Chinese takeaway tub + clingfilm + sunny windowsill + water = *fingers crossed* Growth!

did this 2 days ago and alreagy most have significant seedlings, ive even had to take the clingfilm off 2 of them because they had grown so tall! lets hope they keep growing :/

any advice for weed growing? thanks in advance!

thanks! i've got another windowsill with established living lettuce, spider plants, aloe vera and optunia too :P my husband thinks i've gone mad... lets just hope it works!! Louise

If they grow,they will need loadsa light! If you don´t have grow lights directly above the seedlings,at this time of year with low light levels,they will probably give up the ghost. Once the seedlings are up,turn the boxes daily otherwise the seedlings will start to lean. Grown indoors like this they will probably be weedy (!! ) and spindly and keel over so be prepared for multi funerals!

haha brilliant! growth update... 4 days after being planted they look like this!





Some still only have tiny seedlings but some are thriving! when they get a bit bigger i will thin them out and re-pot the strongest seedlings. any spindly ones that aren't good enough to survive re-potting can just be mixed in with dinner... so long as they haven't actually died haha! my windowsill gets light all day, and I've been turning them round each day to prevent leaning. Fingers crossed... Louise
