They are seriously stunning tortoises!
I noticed a pink tinge on the plastron in that last pic, just though I would mention it.

That's simply from growing, as Bev noticed, some of the adults are young and still growing.

Ed, the smallest boettgeri I had produce was exactly 6" on the dot. I am sure people have recorded smaller than that. As for hermanni hermanni, the smallest producers I have are either just at or just shy of 4".

I haven't sold any Thh babies in a while because I am holding this year's and last year's back. Last time I sold them they were $350 to $400 each.

A lot of those were passed on but yes some did produce. These are ones with exact localities that I've had for a long time now, some going on ten years. I ended up with so many at one point that I only kept ones that I knew the localities of.
