My Horsefields are but they only went in the fridge in January. Aiming for 8 weeks as its there first time hibernated! Not lost any weight so far so fingers crossed they manage the full 8 weeks!

My three are still asleep but the temperature at the moment in their crates is only around six degrees. They have moved around a bit slightly where the temperatures have been warmer recently, been down since 1st November.

Does 8 weeks sound ok for their first time? Was only goin to do 6 weeks but most literature says 8 weeks minimum for juveniles so gone with that!

Most of our crew are still down, but they only went down the week before christmas. We got most of the little ones up, but the rest are still happy in their slumber.

Woke my 1&3 year olds after 8 weeks.Woke my 10 year old rehomed Ibera as first time hibernation-lost 10% weight but now eating well.My HUGE female ibera came out top of box 2 days ago-unheard of for her to have to be housed indoors and at 3kg it's not going to be easy. Her 2kg sister hasn't woken.Remaining elderly graeca and all hermanns havn't stirred yet.Hope they won't for a while!
