This is so awful, I never imagined or realised that they could do such a thing, and continue to do so. I feel so awful and wish I'd known a lot more about imports before buying Ethel from a pet shop. I hate the mere thought of her or any other tortoise being treated like that.

This post was very enlightening, and it is much better for people to know about these things than be kept in the dark about them.

OMG that is so awful, it has me sitting here with my hands clamped over my mouth in shock. I will definitely, definitely be getting a UK CB when I get my first tortoise. More people need to see those images to make them aware.

why are people so cruel, i could do some serious damage left in a room with these people, no respect for these wonderfull creatures makes me sick. sue

really wierd saying thanks for showing the picture but thanks,i am a tortoise lover and have read about the horrors of importation but these pictures truely make it real and are absoloutly discusting

ok... I was bored... stumbled upon this... what's the date on the confescation... what are the circumstances... I've seen worse... not on the net. This is sensationalism at it's best.

I'm asking what is the point of the post???????

I think the point was that we should do all we can to stop tort's being abused in this way.Also highlighting the fact that this continues in 2008 shame on man.

do you have any concept of how infrequently that happens. Look at the date of the original occurance....

Show me a 2008 occurance...
