2nd tier help
Hey guy's,
So i'm looking to expand our tort table to a 2 tier, kind of with a ramp up to another level possibly for a hide or just for running up and down. My current table is this design Dimensions: H 109 x W 61 x D 23cm I'm thinking of something like at the opposite side to the hide in the picture but not sure. What do you guys think any tips/ idea's etc |

Hi I am no expert on these "build things" so hoping someone else will come along too Obviously you would need to make sure that the sides of any new tier were high enough to prevent escape, also that tort could not drop off the ramp and hurt themselves. Sorry - not much help as I expect you have already thought of that

Can you not extend the area on the same level, say by another 12" long? to me it looks a bit small to add another level, but i dont know what size yours is? xxx

Hi Stephen. There can be a problem with ramps unless they are enclosed or at least have high sides on them as the tortoise often just goes over the edge.
If you built a second tier there would need to be adequate ventilation and space between the 2 levels. Hope this helps a bit.

There would also be a bit more room without the large hide.
