Aldi are selling digital timers for a fiver, I got two they are really good

what do they do? is it for setting lamps to come on etc?

yeah thats it, the ones that plug in to a socket

B & Q often have mechinical timers for £1, nice neat bits of kit and truth be told i think there are amoung the best i have.
