My Big XXX Greek Tortoise.
This is Dotty my Turkish T.g.ibera. Unfortunately she was wild caught back in 1978 back then she was 10cm, now she is 30cm and around 4.5kg and still growing !
I've looked after her since I was 10. She likes being outside and for the last few years she has had a small conservatory with a heater and a basking lamp if needed. (which unfortunately is needed a lot). I've had her for 33 years, she eats weeds and flowers, my mum used to give her the occasional strawberry as a treat and she also likes a few bean leaves, the odd bit of cucumber and she absolutely loves Poisonous Buttercups. (WARNING BUTTERCUPS ARE NOT A RECOMMENDED PLANT) |

Thats a lovely big animal and super photos as well. Stunning colour and pattern. Whilst we don't want tortoises taken form the wild I think this one had done rather well out of the deal!

She is gorgeous, I particularly like the photo's of her lying next to the wood, I love her flare'd shell & she's pretty huge too isnt she?
