Darren the female is 8 years old and the male is 5 years old. They are both 5 1/2 inches SCL.

Thanks Dan just one more question how heavy please, reaon for all the questions is my young pair are not disimilar to these two so would be good to compare so can judge a breeding age/size

Darren the male is 342g and the female is 422g. From the studies I've seen of wild Pancake tortoises almost all females are sexually mature at 4 inches and all at 4 1/2 inches. How big is your pair? Mine have always been winter breeders.

Male is 186 g and 4inches
Female is 161 g and 3 1/2 inches
