this is the first tome i have seen these pic also, it made me feel sick and so very very sad! What a tragic end for so many torts.
I knew the conditions they were shipped in were bad but seening this makes it so real! Thank you for showing it to us all, i think it will have a drastic impact to anyone thinking about buying from anywhere other than a breeder. I wish i had seen it along time ago so i did not make the mistake of buying from a shop!. hopefully this post will prevent people from doing the same as me ...

Misery
Well done for reposting this, it is a sickening fact though it still goes on lets hope in time it is stopped and then may be these beautiful creatures get to live long lives and not have them ended so tragically and for what, so some greedy person can make money on their misery, it makes me cross that people are so cruel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is horrendous, just shows how greed and monetary gain can make people barbaric and totally insensitive to the welfare of living creatures. It is important to share these with others to create awareness of what happens in reality.

I've put this post here just to bring these gruesome pictures to the fore again.
It makes me sick to the stomach to think that this barbaric trade continues to this day despite CITES regulations for the purpose of fulfilling the whims of Man. Please don’t sit back thinking ‘it couldn’t happen in the UK anymore’ because it can & IT DOES. We cannot criticize or dictate to other countries, such as Russia & China, on this matter until we have got our own house in order. BAN THE IMPORT OF TORTOISES TO THE UK.......PLEASE PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION AT www.thepetitionsite.com/takeaction/769012123
