So they are going to continue selling them. Not nice and you don't want to watch that video on them on a full or very empty stomach

i replied to this thread earlier - dont know where its gone?!
I am disapointed that they wont stop selling them, and im wondering what the "significant improvements" will be. Any improvement to the way they sell them wouldnt be enough would it?

I haven't shopped in Tescos since I wrote to them regarding the unsuitable rabbit housing they were selling. I got a similarly arrogant response.

I fail to see why a company that makes billions has to diversify into such unsavoury markets. Do they really expect us to believe that the short lives of these creatures is acceptable just because they are involved and allegedly, acceptable in how they are kept?

I have seen their independently commissioned scientific report, and also seen peer reviews of it which make very interesting reading.
Hopefully, the response from "Care for the Wild Charity" will put further pressure on this practise, and show the directors and policy makers in the Tesco plc board, what they are really involved with in this vile trade!

When do you start asking them to stop selling poultry, beef, pork and fish?

Ed, I think it may be a little different since they don't sell chickens, cows, pigs, and fish live for consumption.

I can see your point... they are killed at the slaughter house before the consumer has to look at it.

...and a bolt to the head is so much more humane as long as the consumer does not have to see it. Paul... ever been to Waycross?... interesting place.

I agree that there seems to be a double standard. I think it is the way in which these animals are killed that disturbs most people. The turtles are killed as if they aren't living animals. As if they are a vegtable or something. And no I haven't been to waycross. Whats there?
