Talking love the names!

hey there skye,

welcome to the the site, i am sure you will be able to find plenty of good advice on what to do with your new babies. i like your friend leah and luke names...as i love starwars too. cant wait to see the pics of your new ones. if you get your torts from the peet shop i hear that it is a good idea to ask if they have been bred and reared in this country.

good luck with the new family

Hi Sarah,

Welcome to Shelled Warriors.

Sorry I cant help you with a breeder of horsefields in Scotland but you will probably have to search further afield I had the same problem here in Ireland locating a breeder so all of my tortoises have come from the UK.

Med species tortoises should be fed weeds like dandilions, and their flowers and tortoise friendly plants and flowers like pansies.

No fruit or veg, or them man made pellets.

Hi sarah and welcome. I feed my 2 horsfield weeds, which you can buy on ebay, they are easy to grow,i have loads of weeds growing at the moment and i pick flowers from my mums garden when i visit, she doesnt feed with nutrients so they are safe, campunula, pansys, rose petals, fushias, wild poppys just to name a few.I dont give any fruit or veg whatsoever. kim
