Caimen and YBS
Hi guys,
Im not a turtle person well not yet anyway, still getting to grips with a couple of hermann's. But purpose of this thread was to ask if what i seen in pet shop today was normal or even just plain stupid, now maybe Im completely wrong here. Anyone from northern ireland that are on site will know about a particular pet shop that is renowned for being dodgy in the extreme, but today when i was walking past I called in because the little girl likes to see different reps, but today after going in there was a new tank in the middle of the shop that had 3 YBS all about 6-7 inches but with them in the tank where 2 caimen's ( the little croc's dont know if I am spelling caimen properly) about 1.5 feet long!! IS this normal for these to be housed together with no fatalities or even attacks, curiosity on my part for you tort guys neil |

Yes it's possible to house caiman and turtles together. It helps to have the caiman well feed and the turtles large enough. It also helps to house with species that are found with caiman or alligators, like turtles of the genus Pseudemys.
