Thank You that's nice of you. Horace was out for a few hours. We had rain yesterday and this morning, then the sun came at around 10am. The temps at 1pm were 30c outside so I put him out.
I have now brought him in. He is under is basking lamp. His leg is no worst. I have no more stuff to inject thank God.
So I don't know what happens next. His leg is not hurting him but the scales have not come back. Only at the bottom of his leg are the scales missing. It's just YELLOW, no sores or cuts. To me it seems like the scales are trying to grow back.
Again to day he eat his pellets, weeds outside and made love to his L.............
His shell is changing to white on around the bottom of his shell
Thank You again

It's great the injections are finished You did so well to keep giving him the jags despite your hatred for injections. I think you have been amazing in your care for Horace. You clearly love the wee fellow loads

Hopefully the scales are trying to grow back but I think it could take a long time. Sounds like Horace is living life to the full & doing everything you would expect a male tort to do

Could the white around the bottom of his shell be new growth????

I know you're struggling to post pix but would it be worth searching on here for pix of new growth - or even googling it to see if it looks similar to the white on Horace's shell????

Thank You. Horace is doing well. One nice person here give me his email address so I could send him a picture of Horace. He then put it on here. I don't have it now.
There is less white on his shell now. Horace is eating and loved the warm weather on Tuesday and yesterday. Today cold and damp.
I don't know anything about Horace's shell

You were right about how long the scales would take to grow back. Great news the leg has all it's scales back. Just like new The white around the bottom of his shell as gone too. So the injections worked!
