Nice photos Andy, I can imagine it would be easy to miss a nest site!

Are they T. h. boettgeri?

Hi Ross

Yes they are THB,s , 21 hatched so far.

As for the nest site, shouldn't really miss it being done, she started nesting there at around 6pm and when i went to bed around 12.30 she hadnt laid any , i rekon it took her about 10hours to nest, first time one has succsefully nested inthe greenhouse, i thought it was to dry.

rgds Andy

Excellent! Congratulations on the successful hatching. What an amazing garden you have to offer such a wonderful space to your torts. Good luck with the tropical shed. Lucky tortoises.

Aww, the babies are gorgeous. I SO want a baby Star, but don't really think it's practical at the moment, sadly. Out of interest, how much do you sell the stars for and at what age do you start selling?

Welcome to the World! thanks for sharing little egg journey, from laying to the hatching. More Andy's stars are on the way. I know from personal experience, they are first class babies and great to keep and watch them growing. Goo to know they had a healthy natural start in life and their parents are well cared for.
All the best with your new solar heater shed project. Keep us posted.
