Candling at 3 weeks
Hi,
My eggs are 3 weeks old. My female laid 7 but only 2 chalked but that's not surprising as she hasn't been with a male for about 2 1/2 years. I've candled them but I'm trying to remember when you can see an embryo! I can't seem to see one in the eggs? Is it too early? Or do you think these won't come to much? They have a few veins... You should be able to see the embryo at 3 weeks.

Have you ever known any eggs to show veins and not be able to see an embryo at this stage? I'm assuming these won't develop any further. For the life of me I can't see anything, I shone the torch all around the egg to see if it's the other side. I'm baffled as to why it's got some veins?!? What should a Ibera egg look like at 3 weeks?

Have you signed the torch in from the top of the egg?
Yes I have had eggs where you can't see the embryo at 3 weeks. Danny

Well I candled the eggs last night and phew!! I could see an embryo in the eggs, it was mainly the black eye that I noticed first this time... I would of taken pictures, but my bulb blew in my torch so I've ordered a replacement.
