Injured Fish
My Dad recently noticed that one of our goldfish in our pond has a wound on its side.
We don't know what could have caused it. When it was in the water it looked like a blister, but when we took the fish out of the water it was a red cut. I think it has a film covering it which looked like a blister under water. Does anyone know what could have caused it? And also how to treat it. I don't think it could be a bird as our garden is full of wind chimes and hangy things which tend to scare off birds and the pond has a lot of covering for the fish to hide and is pretty deep. Heres a pic ....

Most likely a spawning accident, come spring my koi used to bash themselves abit. You can give a salt bath but i would just let it recover itself but keep an eye on it for infection.

Thanks for your advice
I will just leave it for a while then and see if it gets any better. I just don't want it to get infected and it looks pretty sore.
