laptops???
Okay need some help please
My daughter has just started doing her GCSE's. All of her friends are getting new laptops to do their course work on. Unfortunately we cannot afford to get her a new one, so we are looking to buy her a secondhand one The only problem is we no nothing about laptops. I had a quick look on ebay but there are 1000's on there. Can anyone give us any suggestions for minimum spec, brand, etc thanks

hi
Any of the big brands Dell, HP, Compaq, IBM, are fine. Processor, min about 1.8MHZm, 512MB ram, 20gig hard drive, Modem that would be a minimum spec, should cost you about £200 £250 we do live with euro so it could be a little more or less hope this helps |

I've seen on the TV this evening that PC world's sale ends this weekend... they have some laptops for under £300.

I hate computer buying, my daughter sat on my laptop at the weekend and its broken , just starting to trawl the shops again and i hate it, i am no tecno junkie so its like another language, then the 16 year old sales assistant gets involved and its even more confusing

Luckily her company replaced it for me, but that was the last time I let her borrow my laptop! |
