Default Whos House?

Pru's house!

Thought it was time I posted up some pictures of the enclosure Pru the Ornate Box Turtle is currently living in. It's half covered by a sheet of plastic for heat/humidity reasons and, of course, its wire meshed on top.
I will extend it once I've moved some Hermanns...

Can you spot Prunella?

It's not a huge enclosure but not bad when you consider the pocket sized girl who lives there.

Very nice set up, with good humidity. She certainly looks like she has settled in very well, with you.
I expect you are scouring the net for a male, to serve as a mate?

Every morning I google two things

1. Ornate box turtle for sale
2. Drew Barrymore - phone number?

Every day the same results are returned, both as fruitless.

Rom contacted me, his Ornate is female too. I've been told Lyn Stokes keeps an Ornate, female. Is there a chance they are hermaphrodites?

Adult Male T ornata, that are available, I suspect are as rare as rocking horse dung, this side of the pond. However, I think that Linda Smith down in Margate breeds this species, and may have hatchlings for sale?
By the way, Drew Barrymore's tel number is: xxxx xxxxxx xx!

Nice enclosure
How deep is the water?
I don't know Drew's phone number but she lives in America, in the films all the numbers start with 555. But in real life that number doesn't exist.

Hi Anna,

The water is about 2 1/2 inches deep, which doesn't quite cover her shell when shes fully submerged. She's more of wader than a swimmer but she will wade around with her head underwater, eyes open, having a hunt around. There is a large stone block that forms a flat shelf of about an inch deep so she can get in and out a a couple of other large stones under the water, near the edge. She will sit in the pool at least once a day, often in the evenings.
