i know they get can get bigger thats why i said 18" +

i would love too see one that big & in its natural habitat

I missed the + part sorry. The one in particular I'm referring to was an old boy that was estimated to be well beyond 100 years old. He was well known in the area and stayed put mostly in one area. Unfortuneately someone thought it would be funny to kill him and place him into a car tire. The persons involved were never found out. Good thing for them or the same may have happend to them. Btw, the tire he was placed into was a very very large tire and he diddn't fit all the way. I don't know his weight but it was more then one man could hold. It's very sad.

that is sad, im hoping to build an extremly large pond for mine too live in the garden when he gets too big to behoused inside
