Default Tort Behaviour

Hello

I was just wondering if any one elses tortoise grunts?
My leo has recently started ... he originally started off pacing and grunting, so i moved the layout about in the tort table around and the pacing has stopped, but the grunting has continued well sometimes it is a grunt and sometimes more of a quack.

I was just wondering if any one elses tortoise does this, and if it is just them talking ( ? ) or if it a sign of boredom or agression or somthing?
Any information would be much appreciated as he did not do it for the first year and half of me having him until now.

Thank you

Lily does that, sometimes after eating or drinking - or in the bath. I just quack back...I dont tend to worry about it, but will keep looking at other answers you get for this as maybe it IS something I should be keeping an eye on. It isnt all the time, now and again.

My lil dude does it nearly every day i will be sat watching tv and can hear him wondering around his cage quacking / grunting away, the thing got me most concerned about it is that it started when he kept pacing up and down one end of his table, which i took as his way of telling me he is bored or somthing was not okay, this has stopped now but the noises have continued?!?

Maybe i am just over reacting .. !

the only time i heard mine grunt - is when she cant get to the food quick enough and i thought it was just frustration, or it could be something to do with breeding although mine are not sexually mature as yet.......
