Default Hello from an expectant father !

Hi all.

Great website. My daughter has been pestering me for a tortoise for weeks now and I have caved in - so am starting the "home building" process and plan to get us a Tortoise in the comings weeks. I probably have loads of questions which I'll search for and post.

Plan to build the table (wood awaits me in garage) one evening this week.

Suspect I will get into it more than she will !

Mim.

Hiya Mim

I'm about a week ahead of you. My daughter has wanted a tort since last summer. Finally brought our Hermann home on Saturday afternoon, so if can read all my threads I think I've asked every question imaginable and some that aren't.

Everyone on here is really friendly and helpful. Welcome aboard.

Hi Mim, there are a number of newbies on the forum at the moment(including myself) so everyone is used to a stream of questions so ask away.
This forum is great and I have found everyone really friendly and helpful. Will you be looking for a particular 'model' e.g. Herman, spur thigh?

Looking forward to seeing piccies of the new arrival

Hi, I'm quite new too but you will find everything you need on here. Everyone really friendly - a word of warning though - you will log on every day just to see what everyone is posting and before you know it a couple of hours will have passed!

My family get fed up with me showing them pictures of other peoples' torts but I keep doing it anyway - don't care what they think!
