Pretty cool I would say that porcupine had something wrong with it b4 the snapper had it if they can fend of big cats I'm not sure why it gave in to a snapper.

Do you think it was also taken by surprise as was attacked from below which it wouldn't normally have to deal with and therefore rendered its best defence mechanism as useless?

Good point but it didn't put up much of a fight I'm sure if I was swimming in there and he bit my bum I wouldn't hang around to be bitten twice.
