Anybody into it?

I am thinking of doing it and need advise on what GPS is good, any tips for newbies etc, thanks

Yes I have done it before, its good fun. Just used the GPS on my mates phone. It was quite a long time ago we did it, thanks for reminding me about it...I'm away to look for some geocaches in my area now

I've not no but just downloaded a free app on my iphone it looks really interesting! I've used GPS on my iphone before and its really good apart from the battery life gets sucked

Have you heard of letterboxing? if so it is similar only high tech version and worldwide, you can google it and see what you think

I am still learning about it so dont have many answers really, sat nav is gps isnt it but I dont know if you can enter coordinates into one or just post codes

Basically the game is someone hides a container with a log book in it and gives the coordinates to roughly where it can be found, others then search and log on line when they found it, the containers can be very well hidden and disguised (I have been looking at some on youtube) it is like hide and seek for anyone, some boxes have been in place for years, anyway it looks like a reason to go exploring so I thought it might be fun
