Will definitely post pickiest of the new home to be. Of course now I know I need to reduce the grassy area, so bit more work as it sounds as though it would be better to put some pea shingle down. I will need some more advice when we have progressed - but will post pictures to try and explain.

your torts would love pea shingle Jan. Mine absolutely love burying down in it and it drains really well so no damp really. Sometimes I have to sieve through it to find the boys - they go out the back of the greenhouse and the girls go out the front so im forever chasing back and forth. Hanging basket over a small earth patch for the weeds and bobs your uncle (or FG as he may be an uncle any day now !).

Quote:
Popcorn and Cookie together would soon gobble any grass in their run area! A little always grew back during the winter whilst they were tucked up all cosy in their winter hutch in their own little playhouse but soon gobbled again in the spring. It's just Popcorn now of course and she hops in and out her hutch and has a wander, a little sunbathe, a nose at the chickens opposite her and then pops back inside. It's mainly earth and not grass now in her run, but she soon starts squeaking when she hears the lawnmower going! So there's no worry of her getting damp. I'll try and get some photos tomorrow for you. We just sawed the legs down so she doesn't have to jump in. We did the same for our old rabbit Bubbles as his legs became weaker, but at 14 years and 5 months he became a very old rabbit indeed. Right up to his final winter he loved being able to still have the freedom of getting in and out his hutch once it was lowered.

Gorgeous little bundles of fluff. Have you sexed them yet Gordon or do they need to stay with their mum for a while longer first?

Great names! I'm sure you're getting good at these guesses. How long until they're weaned?
