Default OMG, what a night.

Yesterday the electric heater in the conservatory was knocked over by Herbie while he was stomping about. (it's fixed to the wall now) It has a cut off safety mechanism if this happens to prevent fires. My Hubby was trying to get it to work and must have turned the temperature dial up. He should have just left it to settle and it would have worked again, men eh? Anyway all was quiet, I was watching TV at around midnight when I heard banging. I went to the conservatory and when I opened the door the heat hit me, the guinea pigs were laying in deck chairs with pims on the rocks, the rats had their best sun hats on and Cameo was all flopped out in her viv, and then there was Herbie, oh boy was there Herbie. He was rampaging through his viv, banging and crashing around doing a bit of rearranging of the furniture. I had to take him out and let him have a stomp about the living room, he was so raring to go.
Hubby got up to go to work (he's on nights) and asked what all the banging was. I let slip a few words with * and @ in them (it was him that faffed about with the heater after all) and he went off to work, leaving me with a hyperactive delinquent on my hands.
By 4am, I thought I really should go to bed, but Herbie had other ideas. I had to take him up with me, I didn't want to leave him alone in case he got himself into trouble. He spent the next 2 and a half hours rampaging around my bedroom,in pitch blackness. At one point he was wearing my discarded knickers around his leg and dragging them around with him (note to self, put Knickers in laundry basket when removed) I had a little torch to keep an eye on him, didn't want to turn on a big light in case it disturbed him, huh, who was I kidding? I came downstairs at 5 am to get chocolate to console myself and pain killer for my headache, he wouldn't take them though. He finally settled at 6.30 and I managed a couple of hours before having to get up at 8.30 to let the chickens out. I'm exhausted.

I had to giggle reading that, Wendy. I bet your eyes are a bit heavy this afternoon.
These animals are worse than kids

Thank you for giving me a good laugh on what has been a very tough day for me. (I had to go to a funeral this morning)

I have so many images in my mind... and can't help thinking "There, but for the grace of God, go I"

You have to laugh really, or cry maybe. I must admit I did consider stuffing him in the fridge for half an hour to cool him down.

Me thinks all that heat made him feel a bit amorous and was stomping about looking for some love

The mood he was in, nothing short of the freezer would have worked!
