I met a celebrity tortoise fan!
I filmed Countdown yesterday! Lots of fun. As always on tv they asked me about tortoises, and lo and behold the delectable Rachel Riley, numbers expert and tv goddess, said that she has two tortoises as well: Mohammed and Ali, a Leopard and a Hermanns. She seemed very knowledgeable - maybe it's time that she joined Shelled Warriors?

Haha, I'm going to be on channel4 on Monday 15th April. The guest in dictionary corner was Richard Madeley - he was just as you'd expect.

Thats cool I love hearing about celebrity tortoise fans, I know Jeremy Clarkson is a keeper too, possibly a former keeper though I think his died

I've put a note in my diary so I don't forget to tune in. Hope you enjoyed yourself Nick. It would be great if Rachel Riley decided to join us here.
Mika Hakkinen (former F1 driver) is a really keen tortoise keeper and used to mention his tort a lot in interviews! My ears always prick up when I hear that someone has tortoises.
