Hi Cre, with my horsfield I water the soil when it looks very dry, mainly concentrating on the area beneath the basking spot

Most spray the soil in a table in the morning every day, a humid hide can be made with spagnum moss sprayed heavy in the morning. Most effort's will dry out in a few hour's.

Thanks for replying, noticed that it was really dry this morning so gave it a good water, my lounge now smells like a summer day after a rain storm

I actually use a kids watering can rather than a spray bottle, which seems to have no effect at all

I use a £3 pressure sprayer from Asda, it's a great device, just fill it and pump the plunger thing a few times and then pull the trigger once and off it goes

horsfield are more prone to shell rot I think than others but that comes from wet conditions rather than just a bit humid
