Running cost of 160w uv basking lamp
Does anyone know the cost of running this 12 hrs a day for a week? Dont know how to work it out and I am interested. We pay the leccy via a bill not cards or keys etc if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance x

There are some convertors on line which will work it out for you. Have no links, sorry, I used them a while ago. Think I just googled something like electric unit costs, and several were available. Hope that helps.

This one has come up quite often. it depends how much your electric is per kilowatt. the last time I calculated mine was about 2 year ago and it was about 12p per kilowatt then but obviously more now. 12 hours x 160w = 1.92 Kilowatts
so 1.92Kw multiplied by the pence per Kw is the answer. even if it's as much as 20p per Kw now it still only equates to 38p per day |

Ok thanks for that, will ask Dave tomorrow how much we pay per kilowatt and get back to you. He works nights and wont see him until tomorrow evening now.
