I don't think the chances are very good but more odd breedings have taken place... Redfoot x Radiated.
That would be an interesting mix. Quote:

Not quite the same thing Steve as dogs are all the same subspecies of wolf. Actually it makes a much healthier dog if cross bred as most pure bred dogs are very inbred.
Breeding a Hermanns and a Star together is like breeding a dog with say a maned wolf or bushdog, same family but not very closely related. If you want to get into the dog discussion Steve start a new thread in other animals. Danny

Most herp keepers would not spend any money on a hybrid. This is especially true among tortoise keepers.
I like hybrids because it is similar to producing different color morphs. I think it is neat to see what nature would allow. A Hermanns with a Star pattern would be pretty cool looking if you think about it. Quote:

Many tortoise keepers don't believe it is 'right' to keep tortoises in captivity even though they keep tortoises themselves.
In my eyes the male is getting some and the female seems to be receptive to his advances. I see no harm nor foul. How is this different from there being 2 Hermanns or 2 Stars? They are just pets after all. Quote:

Why isn't it the same thing. All dogs are descendant from a single or multiple species. This is also a practice that is becoming popular with cats.
I also think the paralell is appropriate to mention here as an example. Quote:

What the person is asking for bicephalic or any freak reptile is very different from what it actually sells for. Albinos can also fetch a good price but this is not the same thing with hybrids unless it is a really cool looking animal.
I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a hybrid anything. It would be worth no more than a pet or an oddity. Quote:
