Default Italian tort fair

Hi guys was sent an email about this event from a breeder in mainland europe, this is quite a big thing for torts and turtles, supposed to be biggest tort event in europe with private small time breeders more of a tort event like crufts(best in show etc).

I have never been to an event hosted by these people but maybe someone on here has and could shed some light on it.

Could be an opportunity for some collaboration between breeders from uk and ireland and europe to diversify there bloodlines etc

I have never been to this event, but I think Romski has some friends who exhibit at this show, which is held in September, and is located very near to Venice.

It was mentioned that it was near Venice? Can anyone add some information pertaining to this event. It sounds like a neat event.

There is also one in May and it is more convenient.

I have been sent details by a friend Andrea Luison who contributes to the Italian Testudo magasine and has authored Freshwater turtles and terrapins: A complete guide. Its an excellent quick reference to the subject but is skewed toward the european keeper. Andrea also breeds so he may be able to help with your needs directly.

I will send him this link and ask him to add more detail. I have a couple of emails on this but its not easy to post.

Welcome Andrea,
It is good to see you posting on this forum and providing details of a very interesting Chelonia show in Northern Italy.
What species are you and your colleagues currently working with and what breeding results are there for 2009?

I think we've actually corresponded once or twice.

I would really be interested in attending one of your shows. They seem quite interesting.
