My star was unwell and had antibiotic jabs from vet. He's still not 100%. He is eating but not as musc as id like. He also spends most of his time in his hide. I think moving rooms upset him I was thinking he could do with a boost so thout id give the powders a try.

I take it that is it something you bath a stressed tortoise in yes?.
Is that the only reason that you would use it and how do you know if your tort is stressed?.
Sorry to ask I have never heard this mentioned before and just bath my torts in warm water.
Thankyou
Never use these products unless there is a problem, you can do more harm than good. This is why I ususlaly do private posts to people needing help with these things. As soon as Avipro, Critical care formula etc are mentioned then people rush out and buy it to give torts a boost. Not a good idea as a normal gut should not be interefered with and can soon become unbalanced
Hope this helps

Default oscar

Hi, If you want to Pm me re Oscar feel free - avipro is good, also a really good one is fibreplex ( carrot flavoured and Ive tasted it), better because it has prebiotics for the probiotics to stick to in the gut.

Default "boosts"

Hi - Agree with you sue - Critical care is extremely dangerous if given in the wrong circumstances, asI said, anyone who thinks of using any of these is welcome to PM me for advice.
