Default Avipro Plus and Ace High

My Avipro has finally come, after ordering it over 2 weeks ago (there was a mix up or something ) When i opened it, its very similar to the Ace High i got at the vets a while ago. Its made by the same people, and they are both vitiman A, C and E but Ace high is a supplement and Avipro Plus is a probiotic for bathing in.

So, I'm going to Bath Oscar in the Avipro but it says on the back "1 scoop per 200ml of water or if very stress, 1 scoop per 100ml per water"...

What measurement should i use, do you think?

Plus, after this bath in the Avipro, should i use the Ace high supllement on his food a couple of times a week (obviously not today after his bath but start in a couple of days?) to see if it helps or just Bath him in the Avipro plus and not touch the Ace high?

This is taken from the Vetark website, whom both Avipro and Ace high are made -

"ACE-High is a specialist supplement used to correct deficiencies in vitamin A, C or E, or when animals are especially stressed. it is a component of ARKVITS."

I also found this on Avipro but i couldn;t find it under the reptiles section, just the birds section

"AVIPRO was the first UK probiotic available for birds. Again developed in house this combination of probiotic organisms, electrolytes and dextrose was relaunched in 2004 as AVIPRO PLUS - now also has soluble fibre and high levels of vitamins A, C and E to help birds under stress"

What do you think?

Hi Kayleigh,
I'd use the 1 scoop per 100ml for at least a week, then down to 1 per 200ml for another week. It looks like the Avipro is a supplement too, but with the beneficial bacteria added.
If your using Nurtobal on his food then you won't need to use the Ace high.
How is Oscar doing?

Danny

He still sleeps all the time but when he is up and bathed and put infront of his food he eats and sometimes he will find it himself... His mouth is nice and pink as well, i can see it when he eats.. So all is good on that front, I just hope this Avipro does him some good!

I'l go and bath him now and get him some fresh weeds to eat

What should i keep his table temps at?

Hi, What is 'Avipro Plus' and 'Ace High' ?.
I take it that is it something you bath a stressed tortoise in yes?.
Is that the only reason that you would use it and how do you know if your tort is stressed?.
Sorry to ask I have never heard this mentioned before and just bath my torts in warm water.
Thankyou

hi
kaymarie tort has been poorly and after being wormed and having antibiotics it has become lethargic
so she is giving it pribiotics to re establish good gut bacteria via bathing it in avipro
ace high is a supplement like nutrobal

It would Alison if the star isn't eating quite right. It replenishes the gut bacteria that breaks down their food.
Has your star not been doing well?
