Default phoebe

phoebe is driving me mad!
since i put him out in the garden a couple of weeks ago he has changed completely,
he doesnt walk around his enclosure anymore , he just moves
an inch or 2 around the basking lamp, his appetite is dramitacilly reduced but isnt loosing weight
the temps in the tank are 45oc under the lamp and 20 - 25oc at the other end
when he is out side he goes straight into the ditch and goes to sleep,
im stressing out cause i dont know whats wrong, when i leave him around the house hes flying !
we moved last year but he was even shy in my last garden,
mabey he has had enough of nutrobal for a couple of weeks, oh yeah now he wont eat anything with
calcium powder on it!(what little he does eat)
help help help
any ideas

is he shy in the garden because he is only 4 1/2 inch, or is this strange behaviour

its been in my mind for a while, that phoebe should go to someone that
could provide hom with a massive heated outdoor space, as north african torts ars
susceptible to infections in cold weather?

i know horsfields acclimitise well, but i dont like them - no offence to people who own them
, im sure there great.
are hermans better to keep in ireland?
i really dont want to give phoebe away

Paul
I keep several North African Gracea g tortoises from various regions and never have a problem with them out side in good weather just keep trying and she will settle into a routine i'm sure.

Hi Paul,

I have two Hermanns here in Wexford and they seem to be getting on just fine. I've only had them since April/May but they settled in fine, are very active and spend most days outdoors.

Best regards
Louise

thanks, well actually today hes acting like his normal self,
ill be buying a green house next week from b&q
dont think my parents will apreciate it though as it will take up most of the garden and im
taking more of the garden for phoebe aswell, our garden is only 30ftx30ft!
we used to have 1/4 acre
