mini UV combi Arcadia
...are the best.
The new mini D3 80w Arcadia really does pump out some heat. I have to heighten it to nearly where the 100w is. I might regret these questions and Arcadia John and Jonathan will know i'm sure but : 1) why do the surrounding areas in the enclosure heat up more than the direct line of heat ie under the bulb? at the height it is at I've checked and rechecked and its definitely hotter at the corners - in fact the torts know that and sit there. This one points straight down. I need a diagram. 2) One of the new mini bulbs I have angled on a clamp - very slight angle because I want to reach a range wider than just underneath (just humour me), is this ok for the UV aspect? its blinking hot still, reaches further and I keep all mine between 26 - 29. Always have so keep it simple and successful this way.

There's a defined pattern of heat from these things, you will have to raise the lamp if it's too hot.
They must be pointing directly down or the spread will be effected and it's life greatly shortened.

thanks John, I think it must be the high sides on the wooden table then as warmer on the circumference than under it. Testament to their range. Height is spot on with my IR and UV cover. Need to rearrange. CB
