Default I found a Terrapin :D

Hi everyone! I'm Ivan and I found a Terrapin

New to the forums here! Was hoping you guys could throw some assistance my way

About an hour ago I found a Terrapin on my way home from from Church. I'm quite familiar with Chameleons but never really taken in one of these cute little creatures. I've uploaded a picture of him/her in the hopes you could perhaps give me some pointers as to what I should do for the Terrapin until tomorrow when I can go and buy him the proper equipment to maintain him/her.

What should I keep him/her in? Should I provide any kind of food? I don't have any ideal reptile lighting or any tanks, will he be okay till tomorrow? It's such a gloomy day today too so I can't take him to get some natural sunlight either.

I'm quite worried about the poor little thing as I'm very passionate about reptiles.

Thaks SO much for any help in advance!

If you were a bit quicker.. it would have appeared before I replied.

I'm not sure what he is, maybe a side shot of the head might help.

I am guessing it is a map turtle. Please can you take a picture of the plastron and twll us what SCL (carapace lenght) is it? Experts will ID this little beauty for you in no time at all. You are really lucky that it is not a yellow bellied slider/ red eared slider those get very large. Is this turtle native to where you live? You need to check some species are protected and it is illegal to take tham from the wild. If you are in Europe then this turtle escaped/ was released unwanted pet and it is ok to take care of her.
