my spur thigh elsie
ok so i bought Elsie last saturday and she is settling in very well i must admit i committed a cardinal sin and bought her from a pet shop!!! i was given her paperwork and it says that she is a testudo graeca but not whether she is a graeca ibera or a graeca graeca how do i tell??? i want to buy another to be her friend do i go back and buy another from the same place and hope they're a match ie from the same clutch??? help

Hi giustino, if you do buy another tort, you might still need to quarentine the other tort. This could be at least 6 months+ minimum. IMO, I would concentrate on the one you have and get to know the breed, diet, housing, etc before delving into another tort. However, that decision is up to you. xx

thanks yuna i just spent over an hour on the phone to my cousin who has had her tortoise more than 30 years and has adopted/fostered countless others and she said the same thing
