1Mb is still massive, 1 Mb is 1014Kb and you only want it to be 19.5Kb max. it's the resolution needs reduced (pixels or dots per inch)

do you want them both reduced to fit on you avatar? 80 x 80? can't use both at once obviously. or do you want one for avatar and one for profile pic? profile pic is I think 80 x 100 os something

..Do you use a program to resize? Im not too sure if I have anything like that on my laptop.
