You'll need an antifungal for shell rot. I'm sure an athlete's foot cream has been recommended.

There are, I believe, two types of shell rot. Bacterial, which is wet, smells and needs antibiotics and fungal, which is dry...no obvious smell. Fungal shell rot can be treated with anti-fungal cream like caneston or similar.

If you don't know what sort of shell rot it is then you need to take your tort to the vets without delay.

That's old shell damage Eliza Whether it was from shell rot or from just something scraping off the layer of scute material and exposing the bone underneath it's hard to tell. It looks like it's healed and just a bit of the dead bone is still present.
Your tortoise is just fine

Thats what I was looking at Alan The little white bits, in the lower section of the red tracing, are dead bone. The upper bit is new scute material that formed under some dead bone (thats why it has the bumpy appearance).
