Red face silly topsoil question

I have a REALLY silly question to ask lol Is topsoil meant to be full of wee stones?
I bought some topsoil from wickes to plant my weed seeds (and fill a few pot holes in the garden lol) and it's full of wee stones I haven't a clue if this is how it's meant to be as I've never had any dealings with top soil before. It was the Sterilised one. Just thought all them wee stones could be quite dangerous for a wee tort......
well there you go thats my silly question for the day hehe

topsoil naturally has small stones in it. it helps drainage. if it didn't it wouldn't be normal and would be a complete mess when wet. compost has no stones and when wet is just like a wet sponge

I wouldn't worry too much to be honest. Top soil bags all seem to be different anyway; I buy mine from B&Q and the first bag I bought had lots of tiny stones in it, but the second bag I opened (when I'd used the first) had hardly any in. They've not bothered my tortie in any way and Squirt's very little and young. If I see any big ones then I pick them out, same as as he stirs it up when he walks around it brings some to the top, so just pick them out then
