Hello that was me, talking to your mum
While the weather is warm they must go outside. My Horsfields have been outside 24/7 for the last month.
If you have foxes at night please make sure your enclosure is secure.
As long as the temps dont drop below 10c at night they are fine outside, the temperature drop does them the world of good

Hi, they should be outside most of the time, but inside when there's heavy rain. The smallest drops of rain is OK, as long as it isn't too heavy. You could put a little wooden hide inside their enclosure and some fake plants. Most fish-tank ornaments are good too, but no sharp or pointy ones. Good luck Stacey! (I think this is a lovely name!)

You also need to think about getting rid of the viv indoors and sort out a tortoise table. Being in a vivarium is not good for tortoises. Have a look on various classified sites to see if you can pick up a reasonably priced table or consider making one. You'll see a change in your tortoise....it will be so much happier!!
