Most nights at least one of them is sleeping in the middle of the table... one evening one slept on the slate where they eat the food, other nights they have slept in corners, under plants and in the open... they will sleep where they are comfortable.

Dont worry.... :P

Horsfields are a burrowing species, leopards are not.

I think it seems to be to do with what is available to them Debs. In the wild they use shallow scrapes on occasions but usually just go underneath a light bush. If mine are in the garden they sort of vaguely go under shrubs but not dug in like the hermanns or underground like the russians. When they go in there indoor section they just sleep in the open, usually next to a wall. Sometimes they go under a pile of hay but not very often.

katie my leopard sleeps in real funny places found him asleep in his food bowl before, water bowl, hanging off large stones with head pressed against walls ( that didnt look very comfy) and at night he just generally goes into a corner or against the sides no burying.

bad background where you get him from sure will have read in previous pages but get lost with whos got what with tortoises
