A picture would be great Lisa, females tend to have longer nails too, used to make digging easier and more scoop like especially for nesting etc...

Sand paper would become shredded in no time also if it was urinated on .
Pete you should use rough slate it splinters and causes the same damage as you would get if run your hand across rough wood Darren

Hi Darren,
I think that was a misunderstanding. I don't use rough slate myself for exactly that reason. I was using it as an example. Perhaps saying rough rocks would have been better?
