Default New outdoor enclosure : UPDATED MORE PHOTOS

Today we started to make our permanent tortoise enclosure in the garden. I have been moaning at him for a couple of weeks now !!!!!
I forgot to take a picture before we started (actually think i was still clearing away bacon buttie mess) hubby had already dug
out 2 large blue Hydrangea plants and the kids had helped him saw a conifer tree down to a stump, by the time i got outside lol.

a proud boy holding the stump, they later proceeded to take it in turns to saw it into several pieces.

still quite messy even through 2 large bushes and a tree had been squashed into a green wheelie bin.

next i had the important part of the job, i cleared the area of debris and painted the fence panels !!!
omg they look great now.(i didnt paint them last year , never got around to it)

as the garden slopes at the top end we decided to have it dual layered , well some natural bumps and slopes for the torts to climb over .

all dug out , and hubby had cut the wood into lengths with the help of 2 boys !!!
took longer than he thought ,but he couldnt move the kids were smothering him , holding the tape measure and using the pencil to mark the wood for him.

They managed to assemble some of the wood together , before rain stopped play.....
we have bark, stones, flags and plants to go in yet..( spent a fortune in B&Q)
hopefully we will be able to finish it soon..( weather permitting)
i will keep you posted on our progress ..
