Threatening email
I had an email entitled "Your life is in danger". I know this is spam and have in no way taken it seriously but still feel that maybe something should be done because there are people who may be terrified by this. Have a read and see what you think and what I should do if anything.
I Want you to read this message very carefully, and keep the message secret with you till further notice, You have no need of knowing who i am, where am from, till i make out a space for us to see, i have being paid $150, 000.00 in advance to terminate your life with some reasons listed to me by my employer, its someone i believed you call a friend, you do business everyday with, i have followed you closely for one week and three days now and have seen that you are innocent of the accusation,Do not contact the police or try to send a copy of this to them, because if you do i will know, and might be pushed to do what i have being paid to do, besides this the first time i turned out to be a betrayer in my job. Now listen,i will arrange for us to see face to face but before that i need the amount of $150,000.00 from you, you have nothing to be afraid of,i will come to your office or home, so determine when you wish we meet,do not set any camera to cover us or set up any tape to record our conversation,my employer is in my control now,$80, 000.00 will be paid to the account i will provide for you, after our conversation,i will give you the tape that contains his request for me to terminate your life, which will be enough evidence for you to take him to court(if you wish to), Claim any damages you wish so you can recover your money back and balance my payment. You don't need my phone contact for now till am assured you are ready to comply good. Don steve The Killer.

My hubby thinks it's almost certainly is a scam that originates from outside the Uk, but you should show this to the police, as it's so unpleasant.

I would let the police see it and also run a full scan of your computer in case there was a worm in the message, I have had an e-mail , although not a vicious but it was riddled with worms !!!!

I would ring the non urgent number in your area and ask who where to send to what a nasty e-mail. There is a way of finding out where it came from but only hubby knows how !

just ignore/delete it, its a response these people thrive on, I usually just have a look at those emails in junk without opening any of them.

You need to report this due to the threat to kill the police can then get warrants to stop it, I believe it is possible to find the computer it came from certainly the police will know. It's not your usual scam very nasty.
