I'm pretty sure that was Ethiopia. It looks like there is one historic account of the Leopard in Sudan and it is questionable. I've posted photos of the ones from Ethiopia

Aldabraman... that is seriously impressive although it does seem normal that if the female is fertile they usually have 90 to 100% hatch rate.

How big was the female and how big were the babies?

Ed, can you keep same sex but different species together if they get on? I know most people say no. But surely if there is no conflict it would be ok. Or is it a no no?

Sorry aldabra man dont want to take over your thread, but its something that ive always wondered about.

Average adult in the US is about 150 to 200 pounds... about 30 inches SCL. Hatchlings run about 1.5 to 2 inches SCL.

You gotta know my answer to that one. I've currently have a Greek Running around with a Redfoot... I've never seen a problem with established captive tortoises.

Wild caught tortoises are a totally different story.

You don't want to admit that in certain circles but this thread kinda opened the door to the topic in general.

He instantly identified them as hybrids. I had no idea this was possible between leopards and sulcatas the male leopard is tiny in comparison to the female sulcata. I do not house them together and they seldom meet out side so the chances of this happening was very small. Has any one else had any experience of this? Do they grow into leopards the size of sulcatas? They are the prettiest babies I have ever seen .
Nature always finds a way. would love to see your "Leosully" pic's, should be very interesting.
