hi alice,
i've read in some places/books that the oldest captive leopard died at 30. i've also read the oldest died at 50 i've heard in the wild they live for about 30 but i firmly believe that the captivity of the leopard tortoise improves as time goes on.. in older books the shells of adult leopards in pictures were slightly naff but in newer written books and publications and in terrys pictures, newer pictures of younger adults look good.. what i'm trying to say is, as time goes on, .. i'm sure more are living for longer because of improved care, so saying 50+ would probably be an ok statement. i hope ours live that long or longer! Neil. p.s. i think that there is a problem with your avatar thingie, can you fix it please :P

Blimey, for some reason I thought they lived for 100 years.
What a shamer!
