most people seem to loathe NY eve
most people I know seem to dislike New Years eve, I am not sure why but I love to send it off and hello to a new one...though programmes this Christmas have been awful apart from Grantchester and The 100.
Whats everyone up to? I've been planting some seeds and will watch to see if they appear ! CB

Looking after the grandsons so that son and daughter-in-law can go out on the town.

Never been a fan either but this seems to have been a significant year so we're all up with mocktails and chocolates and party poppers at the ready to welcome in 2017. Eldest is out on the town and pulling an all-nighter. So pleased those days are well gone. Wouldn't have the desire to totter about in the cold anymore. A couple of decades plus a bit more since I was out celebrating New Year.
Wishing you a lovely evening. Not long to go...

I remember New Year eves parties when you didn't have to pay to get into a pub and pub crawls round the local village were a must for all residents and then we all bundled into the boot of the car of a friend to get home...probably not so good an idea these days, but somehow it seemed ok back then... and bit like Gordon and tortydat , babysitting the doggies cause of the fireworks and anything good on TV (DVD) early night.
oh no it's so rainy now and been dull and grey all day so I suspect the seeds won't last long. I did loads of different ones which I got 10p from local shop as selling off, nasturtiums, blue lady, lupins, sunflowers, rocket, pansies, wild flower, dandelions, masses of chicory seeds ! first time. I went with what Emma said last year about seeding out and monty don also says can seed any time of year. Most I found stated on the packets only 4 weeks early and when I sowed rocket in September the other year it actually seemed to sprout up for winter ! I suppose til frosts may hinder. Heres to 2017,

I'm sure yours will do well too. Not paying to get into a pub...those were the days! My son apparently went to sleep at 3am and was up at 7 for a golf comp!! Madness!

I'm spending the week in Maastricht. The heart of Europe. There were loads of fireworks but the city is very quiet now.
It's made a change from the Glasgow New year!
