"The Met Office has issued an amber warning for high winds affecting much of central, southern and western Scotland on Wednesday.

Gale or severe gale-force winds have been predicted, with the possibility of gusts up to 90mph in exposed coastal areas of the west.

Forecasters have said that damage to buildings and disruption to transport services can be expected."

Yes, quite windy here just now as it often is on recycling bin day, papers and rubbish everywhere but it mostly seems to land in our garden because 99% of the time the wind comes from the same direction

With my recycling bin I have an elastic luggage rack bungee cord thing over the lid, you know the type I mean? Elastic with a hook on both ends http://www.uktarps.com/bungee/straps...ap-600mm-x-8mm

they used to have them in asda and poundland but haven't seen any recently, mine is getting a bit weathered.

just found them on ebay, 6 for £2.40 and free delivery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-BUNGEE-C...item3cb9bca324 2 at 12", 2 at 18" and 2 at 24"
